WASHINGTON: A special panel of the Food and Drug Administration in the United States has recommended the use of a combined Pfizer and biotech vaccine across the country on an emergency basis after long discussions.
Of the 22-member panel of the Food and Drug Administration, 17 members recommended the immediate use of the vaccine, while four members who voted against it expressed doubts about vaccinating people under the age of 18. One member did not comment.
Earlier, a panel from the FDA, the world’s most prestigious US drug agency, analyzed the scientific evidence for a nine-hour trial of the Pfizer vaccine. Pfizer had approached the FDA for drug approval.
It should be noted that the process of giving Pfizer and Biotech corona vaccine to the public has started in the United Kingdom, while Bahrain has also approved the vaccine. If the FDA approves, the vaccination process will also start in the United States. ۔
