This research has reported the result of their research program called Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD). In this research, scientists have followed more than 10,000 kids. ABCD investigators obtained information from parents about their children’s sleep at regular intervals. On average, children who slept for less than 7 hours a night are more likely to have mood problems than children who slept for more, according to the researchers. Students who have slept less than nine or ten hours a night achieved 53 percent worse grades than those who have proper sleep at night.

1. Using mobile phones before going to bed
Four in five adolescents report sleeping in their room with their mobile. A natural chemical, which tells your bodies the time to sleep, the artificial blue light emitted from the device delays the circadian rhythm and suppresses the hormone melatonin. It triggers your body to wake up and be more alert when you look at your phone right before bed. This blue light is easy to fix, don’t use your phone or computer before bed. Two hours before you decide to sleep, switch off your mobile, and concentrate on enjoyable activities, such as reading and spending time with your loved ones.
2. People having indigestion or heartburn
Nighttime heartburn can awake you, and the pain and discomfort make it difficult for you to fall asleep. Spicy foods, chocolate, citrus, and alcohol are common offenders of heartburn. Try keeping a food log of your symptoms if you can’t minimize the causes of your indigestion. To find out what causes you pain, you should remove different suspects from your diet. Try to stop this food as much as possible.
3. Drinking too much caffeine
You could be held up at night with your consumption of caffeine. It is an especially bad idea to drink coffee or tea at night. It can interfere with a normal sleep schedule and make you feel even more tired. After dinner sticks to simple drinks and reduces your consumption of doses of caffeine per day.
